Nine Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf Attorneys Selected for Best Lawyers in America

Portland, Ore. - Nine lawyers from Portland litigation firm Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf have been named to the 2011 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®. The guide will be published in November 2010.

David Markowitz, Jeff Batchelor, Jeff Edelson, Peter Glade, Lisa Kaner, Matt Levin, William Mehlhaf, Lynn Nakamoto and Kerry Shepherd will be recognized for their work in the area of commercial litigation. Batchelor will be listed in three additional areas: alternative dispute resolution, appellate law and personal injury litigation. Nakamoto will be listed in the additional area of labor and employment law. Markowitz will once again be included in the elite category of “bet-the-company litigation.”

First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive annual peer-review survey. For the new U.S. edition, more than 50% of the lawyers listed in Best Lawyers cast more than 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in the same and related specialties.
