Two Attorneys Join Markowitz Herbold PC

Portland business litigation firm Markowitz Herbold PC announced today that Heather St. Clair, Associate, and Michael Wilcox, Of Counsel, have joined the firm.
St. Clair comes to Markowitz Herbold after serving as Assistant Deputy Attorney for the City of Portland. In this role, she worked primarily in the areas of affirmative litigation and labor and employment. She litigated business tax cases and tort claims and provided research and legal analysis for City Bureaus and Departments. At Markowitz Herbold, St. Clair focuses her practice on business litigation and employment law.
Prior to law school, St. Clair served in the United States Navy where she operated and maintained an air defense weapons system, and created and directed a divisional training program to better equip personnel for obtaining qualifications, certifications, advancements, and individual career goals. St. Clair was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal during her service.
Wilcox is a litigator specializing in intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Markowitz Herbold, he served as a Senior Counsel and, later, the Interim General Counsel, at Arcadia Biosciences, Inc., an agriculture biotechnology company. Wilcox is licensed to practice in California and will practice in our San Francisco office.
Wilcox has more than 17 years of experience serving a vast array of businesses and individuals and has practiced in various settings ranging from an international law firm to a two-attorney practice. He has represented clients in patent, trademark, copyright and contract disputes, among many other fields, in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the nation.
