Matt Levin Named 2010 MBA Mentor of the Year

Portland, Ore. -- Portland litigation firm Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf is pleased to announce that Matt Levin, an attorney and shareholder with the firm, has been named one of two Mentors of the Year by the Multnomah Bar Association.

Mentors of the Year are chosen based on feedback from mentees participating in the Multnomah Bar Association’s mentor program. Levin mentored attorney Justin Aida who said “Matt has taught me the value of trust, integrity and relationships and to tirelessly work to maintain that trust with friends, family, clients and those who I work with in the legal community.”

Chris Kitchel, a partner with Stoel Rives, was also named Mentor of the Year along with Levin.

Levin resolves complex business disputes for clients ranging from individuals and startups to Fortune 500 corporations. In addition to his focus on business litigation, including contract disputes, employment matters, accounting malpractice and real estate disputes, Levin has developed a distinctive sports litigation practice. He co-teaches a sports law class at Lewis & Clark Law School.

Levin serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Andrew Legal Clinic, which provides family law services to low-income families. He has also provided pro bono services for non-profits including the IMAGO Theater, The Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation and the Rock N’ Roll Camp for Girls.
