Chad Naso is a skilled trial lawyer with extensive experience representing governmental entities, corporations, and individuals in a broad array of complex disputes.
Since joining Markowitz Herbold in 2016, Chad has often been tapped to assist with the firm’s most high-profile matters. Some of his experience includes:
• Cahill, et al. v. Nike. Representing former employees of the world’s largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel in putative class action alleging sex discrimination.
• Boy Scouts of America abuse litigation (Oregon). Represented BSA in seven separate personal injury lawsuits in Oregon.
• Rosenblum et al. v. Oracle, Inc. et al. Represented the State of Oregon and Cover Oregon in litigation against Oracle, the second-largest software company in the world. The litigation involved seven cases in state and federal courts and claims for breach of contract, fraud, false claims, copyright, and racketeering. The litigation settled successfully in September 2016.
Prior to joining Markowitz Herbold, Chad served as an Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia and served as lead attorney on dozens of cases involving civil rights claims under § 1983, constitutional law, bankruptcy, civil forfeiture, public information law, employment discrimination, and environmental law.
