Portland litigation firm Markowitz Herbold PC is pleased to announce that Laura Salerno Owens, an attorney with the firm, has been recognized by the Portland Business Journal as one of the top forty young leaders in the business community.
The “Forty Under 40” is an annual listing of Portland’s top forty business elite under the age of 40. Recipients are honored for their high level of professional achievement and leadership in the community.
Salerno Owens represents clients in employment litigation involving non-competition, trade secrets, discrimination and wage and hour disputes in state and federal court. She also handles business disputes such as contract, shareholder and intellectual property cases. Salerno Owens’ clients include businesses, individuals, startups, governments, and nonprofit organizations.
Salerno Owens serves on the board of Rosehaven, a women’s shelter in Portland. She has also been a volunteer coach for Jefferson High School’s mock trial team for the past ten years. Salerno Owens is active in numerous legal organizations such as the Federal Bar Association of Oregon, the Owen M. Panner Inn of Court, and the University of Oregon School of Law where she was named an Outstanding Young Alumnus in 2016.
