Three Markowitz Herbold Attorneys Win 2023 MBA Awards

Portland litigation firm Markowitz Herbold PC is pleased to announce that attorneys Dave Markowitz, Adele Ridenour, and April Stone have received honors from the Multnomah Bar Association (MBA). The three were honored at the MBA’s Annual Dinner on May 24th.

Markowitz received the 2023 Professionalism Award, one of the MBA’s highest honors. The award recognizes legal practitioners who not only adhere to but exemplify the standards set forth in the MBA Professionalism Statement. With more than 48 years of litigation practice, Markowitz is deeply committed to the legal community where he has mentored and taught lawyers in all parts of Oregon and the country.

Ridenour received a 2023 MBA Award of Merit for her work on the MBA Fellows Taskforce. Ridenour and several others were honored for devoting countless hours to ensuring the program’s success. The program, designed to diversify the Oregon Bar, awards 1L paid internships, scholarships, and networking opportunities to diverse law students.

Stone was awarded the Michael E. Haglund Young Lawyer Award for making a substantial impact on the lives of low-income Oregonians through pro bono legal services. She has dedicated considerable time to ensure that community members with limited financial resources have meaningful access to the legal system.
