Nate is a skilled litigator dedicated to providing his clients with exceptional advocacy before federal and state courts and regulatory bodies. Nate’s litigation practice focuses on class action defense, energy law, and employment disputes. His clients include state and local governments, public utilities, and privately held businesses.
In 2021, Nate was honored and named by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for his excellence in legal practice. He enjoys working closely with clients to come up with practical solutions that avoid unnecessary or protracted litigation.
Before joining Markowitz Herbold, Nate clerked for the Hon. Zack Hawthorn of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Prior to clerking, he focused on civil rights and education in his internships with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and the Harvard Education Law Clinic.
Nate graduated from Harvard Law School where he was named a Presidential Scholar and a Heyman Summer Fellow. Before law school, he earned his M.A. in Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary.
