A former high school social studies teacher, David leverages his ability to distill complex ideas into clear explanations in order to obtain favorable outcomes for his clients.
David recently joined the firm after three years of work as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Mustafa T. Kasubhai in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. During his tenure at the District of Oregon, he was responsible for researching and drafting opinions on a wide range of complex procedural and substantive legal issues. These issues often involved state law claims for breach of contract, negligence, and product liability. David also regularly handled discrimination cases brought under the ADA, FHA, FMLA, Title VII, and Oregon employment, wage, and whistleblower statutes, as well as Section 1983 discrimination and retaliation cases brought under the First and Fourteenth Amendments.
Prior to his work with Judge Kasubhai, David served as a Staff Attorney for several other judges in the District of Oregon. He also worked as a Litigation Consultant and Head Law Clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon, where he contributed to healthcare fraud investigations and assisted with cases in the civil, appellate, and criminal divisions. As a law student, David worked as a Law Clerk for the United States Air Force.
Before pursuing a legal career, David worked as a high school social studies teacher, coached high school basketball and golf, and served on a Division I men’s basketball coaching staff.
