Stanton represents businesses and non-profits in complex litigation, including securities litigation, shareholder disputes, class actions, antitrust, and other commercial matters. He has extensive experience in securities and financial investments, where he has represented financial institutions and investors in matters relating to mortgage-backed securities, failed investment funds, and merger transactions. Stanton also represents clients on appeal in state and federal courts both as parties and as amicus curiae.

Before joining Markowitz Herbold, Stanton clerked for the Honorable Ralph K. Winter of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and was an associate in the New York office of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
